The program / clinical psychology program - credit hour system 
In cooperation between (department of psychology, faculty of arts - tanta university) and (department of psychiatry and neurology, faculty of medicine - tanta university) .


About the program:
the program applies the credit-hour study system, with a maximum of (140) hours, after which the student is awarded a bachelor of arts degree in the clinical psychology program (credit hour system) .

the study plan for the bachelor of arts degree in clinical psychology program consists of a credit hour system with a maximum of (140) credit hours .

• the study period for obtaining a ba in the program is four university years (8 semesters) . a student whose study period extends more than four university years is permitted to graduate if he meets the graduation requirements in any of the semesters (january semester - june semester - september semester) .

• each academic year is divided into two main semesters , and the duration of each semester is 16 weeks , including exams .

• it is also permissible to open a summer semester of eight weeks of intensive study, in accordance with the controls proposed by the executive committee and approved by the higher committee .

It is a flexible program that adapt to the students' tendencies , their desires ,and highlights their energy, as it allows them to choose from a number of electives material, each in accordance with his tendencies, desires and abilities

It is concerned with the weight of the practical side of the students through paying attention to the practical side of each course of this course as well as field training in mental health hospitals and centers for people with special needs, under the supervision of one of the specialized faculty members

The program is also concerned with continuous follow-up and evaluation of students through an "academic advisor", as the college assigns for each group of students an academic advisor from the faculty of the Department of Psychology who performs the tasks of scientific guidance and is responsible for the student in scientific, social and psychological affairs and directs him in everything related to his university life

The graduate can getting a license to practice the profession of psychotherapy at the Ministry of Health after his getting (6 training courses) from one of the accredited bodies

Specifications of Program graduates
A clinical specialist who knows all the requirements of the profession and all modern technologies that qualify him to work in puplic and private mental health hospitals , centers for people with special needs and job analysis centers at the ministry of forced , as well as the moral affairs of the armed forces , which ensures the establishment of an integrated system and show competitive capabilities in line with the successive global changes 

He has a high professional level and is qualified with the skills , ethics and principals necessary for a clinical psychologist 

Has the ability to participate in national research project

A strong competition in the labor market because of his knowledge of a large and specialized group of personal measures and devices , and the most important and latest rehabilitation and psychotherapy techniques

Conditions of enrollment 
a) the program accepts students who have obtained a high school diploma (scientific / literary section) or its equivalent in accordance with the admission conditions determined by the supreme council of universities
b) it is permissible to accept the transfer of students enrolled in one of the faculties of egyptian or foreign universities, provided that the student fulfills the requirements for admission to the college, and the courses he studied in the college from which he is transferred are calculated in accordance with the rules determined by the college
c) the program doesnot accept students with special needs and special cases in accordance with the general rules for admission
d) those who have obtained bachelor’s and bachelor’s degrees from egyptian and arab universities
e) graduates of higher institutes
f) graduates of open education with a grade of at least good
g) those who have failed to fail from one of the al-azhar colleges

expatriate admission
according to the rules for admission of expatriates to egyptian universities, nomination of the expatriates administration, and fulfilling the admission requirements
